Before a choice
The Google tag receives a denied state before loading. It may send cookieless signals for aggregate reporting, but it is instructed not to create analytics cookies while storage is denied.
The site stores the consent decision in localStorage so it can respect the choice on a later visit to that domain.
After acceptance or rejection
Accepting grants analytics storage and may allow cookies such as _ga. Rejecting retains the denied state. Revoking acceptance removes accessible analytics cookies for the current domain.
Advertising storage, ad user data, ad personalisation and Google Signals remain disabled in every state.
Manage the choice
